CompanionLoneworker is a hosted service that provides remote and lone workers with the comfort that help is never far away should they require assistance.

It is generally understood that working alone increases the vulnerability of workers and that incidents of violence or abuse have serious consequences for employees and the business they work for.

Most at risk are community health workers and care givers. However,
Companion Loneworker has an application in a wide variety of industries with remote workforces.

The service allows employees to record their expected work details using any telephone on any network. In the event that they are unable to complete their activity, or an emergency arises, an alert is raised.

The employee has control over the type and frequency of information that is recorded.
The alerts escalation process can be customised for either individual employees, or the procedures of any organisation or user group, within both public and private sectors.

Watchman

The Watchman feature of CompanionLoneworker (CLW) has been
developed to meet the unique requirements of the security industry.
Watchman uses the same technology as CLW to capture the actual start and finish times of each shift attended by a security guard (see the “how to” section on the reverse). Watchman users do not need to key in their own shift duration.
This is entered by a manager or supervisor online using the web-based management tool.
This allows supervisors to set up automated “Check Calls” for each security
guard at intervals of their choosing. When Watchman makes a “Check Call” the
service automatically dials the security guard’s mobile phone. When the call is
answered the guard can either complete his shift or extend it. This shows the
supervisor that the guard’s shift is continuing without mishap and optionally
records his/her work for payroll and timesheet purposes. If the guard does not
reply then the alerts escalation process begins described on the reverse.
